To add to the let down, was as Boars head hotdog stand out front selling hot dogs for a dollar. To me, a store grand opening should have free hot dogs, not ones for sale.
I see that some things NEVER change, Despite being a brand new store there are still the same RUDE associates that are allowed by manager John Barber to be completely disrespectful to the customers...
I live smack in the middle of the country where goods have to be trucked in from all over the country. This Publix sits within minutes of docks for international and domestic water shipments are relatively close by. I was shocked and appalled to see prices on basic household good running 2-3x my home grocery store prices. I can't imagine how an average American family can afford thier prices.
Save yourself the aggravation and shop elsewhere.
20 minutes later with 1 person slicing and 5 other Publix employees behind the counter doing other things besides servicing the customers, I left. Drove to the Oakhurst Publix and was greeted with a smile and done in 5 minutes.
Since We have 3 Publix near by. This store will be the last one I consider. Shopping was not a Pleasure at this store.
To me, I didn't see much newness or uniqueness here. Yes the light fixtures and floor was shiny and clean, and there were so many employees working you about trip over one everywhere you go in the store. The shelves were definitely stocked full.. But I expected something more.
This new store is very organized. Workers are constantly seeing that the shelves are looking good. Friendly and a pleasant store to shop.
Shopped here 3 times since the grand reopening. Tried to get fresh cut deli meats. First time, there were too many people waiting. Second time, too many people waiting. Third time I decided to wait.
And does absolutely nothing to resolve these issues especially when you are good friends with the ones that are causing the problems.
