Amazing park! Great for kids, adults, anyone! More turtles there than you have seen in your life! Bald eagle, owls, falcons. They have it all! A real hidden gem.

Lots of wonders for a family. From reptiles, aquatic animals, many non releasable birds, turtle pond and play ground, not to mention the wonderful walking path which is paved for a experience that handicap people can enjoy too. This park takes you out to the intercostal waterway and through wooded forest. My family has been coming to this park for 16 yrs and have enjoyed every visit.

Commonly referred to as The Turtle Park, McGough is always worth the visit. From helping to save raptors, to trekking the mangroves there is always something to see and do. Each trip is an eye opening experience, learning and discovering things you've never experienced before.

I volunteer here with The Narrows. Not only is it beautiful, but I'm getting to learn a lot about birds of prey (owls! Hawks! Oh my!) and the local flora and fauna. The playground is really cool as well! Great place for family outings, or for getting some needed green space in our urbanized lives.

The park is great. Turtle pond is really cool. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because behind the owl exhibit there are caged birds with many signs that say PLEASE NO SMOKING WITHIN 20 FEET OF BIRDS and a "park ranger" was sitting there, smoking. Blatant disregard for animal life. Disgusting habit, polluting the whole area with his cigarette habit. If I took the time to see his name, I would let you all know to avoid him. Older, white male, white hair and mustache about 250 lbs.
